About the Studio

We are building the next generation of gameplay-driven interactive entertainment. Our studio focuses on acquiring and evolving legacy gaming IP that helped define entire eras of players. We seek out franchises with proven impact and passionate communities, and bring them forward using modern technology, deeper gameplay systems, and a player-first design philosophy.

Our current project centers around a well-known legacy sports IP that previously sold millions of copies. Our goal is not simply to recreate what existed before, but to evolve it — pushing gameplay systems, design, and competitive depth to a new level. We believe the best games emerge when technical excellence, physics engines, and player-first design intersect.

The Role

We are looking for a Tools Engineer who understands that a great tool is a force multiplier. Every hour you save a designer is an hour they spend making the game better. Every workflow you streamline is one less thing standing between a good idea and a playable moment. In a small studio building a physics-heavy, fast-paced arcade game, the quality of your tools shapes the quality of everything else.

You will own the internal tooling that keeps this team moving — building, maintaining, and improving the systems that let engineers, designers, and artists do their best work.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build in-engine tools and editor extensions that accelerate iteration for designers, artists, and engineers
  • Own and maintain the build pipeline — compilation, packaging, automated testing, and deployment
  • Work closely with gameplay engineers and designers to understand workflow pain points and solve them before they become habits
  • Build debugging and profiling tools that help the team identify and fix problems faster
  • Create and maintain data pipelines for gameplay tuning, balance testing, and live debugging
  • Establish and document tooling standards that scale as the team grows
  • Rapidly prototype tooling solutions and iterate based on team feedback

Qualifications

  • Strong C++ and Unreal Engine experience — you know the editor extension and plugin architecture well
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for game projects
  • Deep understanding of game development workflows across engineering, design, and art disciplines
  • Proficiency with build systems, scripting languages, and automation tools
  • Ability to scope and prioritize tooling work against a live production schedule
  • Experience shipping at least one commercial title

Bonus Experience

  • Experience building gameplay tuning or live debug tools
  • Familiarity with Perforce, Jenkins, or similar source control and build infrastructure
  • Experience on a small team where tooling directly impacted shipping velocity
  • Python scripting for pipeline automation

Why Join Us

In a large studio, tools work can feel invisible. Here it isn't. When you build something that cuts an hour of friction out of a designer's day, everyone feels it. When the build pipeline runs clean, the whole team ships faster. In a studio where craft and velocity both matter, a great Tools Engineer is one of the most valuable people in the building.

If you want your work to have direct, measurable impact on a game people are genuinely excited about, we want to talk.
